For creating this innovative version of the famous vacuum cleaner, knowns as the Mi Robot 2, Xiaomi has turned to Roborock, a company specialized in the home automation sector, a collaboration that brought us the all-new Xiaomi Roborock Mi Robot 2, a device equipped with a bionic water tank that allows the device to mop and sweep the floor in a very thorough manner. In addition to this, the recent version of the Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner has a microfiber mopping cloth for more detailed cleaning, a newly updated sensor system for better cleanse planning and is generally much more powerful in comparison to the older design for the reasons that follow.

The Laser Distance Sensor has been updated, it is now possible to program and clean only a specific area of the whole house. The LDS sensor analyzes the entire ambient at 360 degrees, 5 times a second and collects enough data to use for SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), thus making it possible to create an optimal cleaning path for each and every room in the house.
